What owners should know
German Shepherds are strongly predisposed to hip and elbow dysplasia. Degenerative myelopathy — a progressive spinal condition — is also common in the breed. Bloat (GDV) is a life-threatening risk, especially in deep-chested individuals. Avoid vigorous exercise right after meals.
